Livelihoods & Economic Transformation
This cause help to ensure that women and men have access to the training and resources they need to develop and sustain productive livelihoods and pursue economic opportunities.
Grounded in a gender-based perspective, our programs develop livelihood-strengthening activities that are accessible to both women and men, and are appropriate for a household’s resources, capabilities and constraints.
For example, we coordinate with women in the community to schedule savings group meetings, literacy training and other activities at times that do not interfere with the many existing responsibilities of women.
Our programs provide access to training, grants and other resources to help women and men start or improve microenterprises that respond to local market conditions.
